Snowed in Musing #2

times pass and things come to an end. the departure seems permanent and the sadness, or the guilt from lack of sadness, is trying. the people buzz like no one knows or cares. well, they don't and neither do you and neither do i and neither do you. morbid curiosity slows the traffic of the mind and the thought highway is at a stand still. indifference is the new state of flow. the pills they give you for emotion take away your natural instincts and replace them with vacant stares and deer-in-the-headlight like reflexes.

can you lend an ear, a hand, a heart
is made cold by schedules and appointments
rushing to an inevitable ending for us all
got to squeeze in the good stuff
so
slow
your
roll

  1. i love the slow your roll... everyone needs to. and for you... your roll is slowed by the snow. slowing down is what like is about. how can you see everything if everything is moving so fast... including yourself. that's why i love yoga.. it MAKES you slow down and reconnect. i love your inspiration. i love your photos and your soul! it really shows how kind you are.. thanks for sharing.
    "Inaudible Melodies"

    Brushfire fairytales
    Itsy bitsy diamond wells
    Big fat hurricanes
    Yellow bellied given names
Well shortcuts can slow you down
And in the end we're bound
    To rebound off of we

Well dust off your thinking caps
    Solar powered plastic plants
Pretty pictures of things we ate
We are only what we hate
But in the long run we have found
Silent films are full of sound
    Inaudibly free

    Slow down everyone
    You're moving too fast
    Frames can't catch you when
    You're moving like that

    Inaudible melodies
    Serve narrational strategies
    Unobtrusive tones
Help to notice nothing but the zone
    Of visual relevancy
Frame-lines tell me what to see
    Chopping like an axe

Or maybe Eisenstein should just relax

    Slow down everyone
    You're moving too fast
    Frames can't catch you when
    You're moving like that

Well Plato's cave is full of freaks
Demanding refunds for the things they've seen
    I wish they could believe
In all the things that never made the screen
    And just slow down everyone
    You're moving too fast
    Frames can't catch you when
    You're moving like that
    Slow down everyone
    You're moving too fast
    Frames can't catch you when
    You're moving like that
    Moving Too.... jack johnson.
